Miro board as a teaching tool at Maritime English lesson.

Abstract

This article analyzes the features and effectiveness of using the Miro board as a collaborative digital whiteboard platform in teaching Maritime English. The shift to distance learning necessitated by global events has highlighted the need for tools to increase educational efficiency and student motivation. Miro's features, such as infinite boards, frames, and tools for mind mapping and project work, facilitate an interactive learning experience and develop crucial skills like critical thinking and teamwork among future marine specialists. Ultimately, Miro is presented as an indispensable and flexible tool for organizing various forms of group work and simplifying the process of sharing educational material in a distance learning environment. У цій статті аналізуються особливості та ефективність використання дошки Miro як цифрової платформи для спільної роботи на заняттях із морської англійської мови. Перехід до дистанційного навчання, спричинений глобальними подіями, актуалізував пошук інструментів для підвищення ефективності та мотивації студентів. Функціонал Miro, включаючи нескінченні дошки, фрейми та інструменти для створення ментальних карт і проєктної роботи, сприяє інтерактивному навчанню та розвитку критичного мислення й командної роботи у майбутніх фахівців. У кінцевому підсумку, Miro представлена як незамінний та гнучкий інструмент для організації різних форм групової роботи та спрощення процесу обміну навчальними матеріалами в умовах дистанційного навчання.
