Case method within soft skills development at Maritime English lessons.

Abstract

Ця стаття досліджує роль кейс-методу у розвитку м'яких навичок (soft skills) на заняттях із морської англійської мови для старших студентів. Актуальність дослідження обумовлена пріоритетною увагою світової морської індустрії до розвитку навичок, пов'язаних із лідерством, командною роботою та вирішенням проблем. Кейс-метод, заснований на аналізі автентичних ситуацій, що сталися на морі, робить навчальний процес свідомим, мотивованим та активним, інтегруючи комунікативні методи для всебічного розвитку необхідних компетенцій майбутніх морських фахівців. This article explores the role of the case method in developing soft skills during Maritime English lessons for senior students. The study's relevance is driven by the global maritime industry's focus on developing skills related to leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving. The case method, based on analyzing authentic situations that occurred at sea, makes the educational process conscious, motivated, and active, integrating communicative techniques for the comprehensive development of essential competencies for future maritime specialists.
