The Usage of Weather Web-Sites for Creating Active Learning Tasks at the Lessons of Maritime English.

Abstract

The thesis is focused on the study of the means of weather web-sites as one of the ways to create active learning tasks based on computer technologies with regard to students’ professional needs. It includes several instructions effective for pair and group work, based on description and comparison activities as well as situational tasks to be implemented not only at weather-lessons but in topics connected with passage planning, pilotage, accident prevention, watchkeeping responsibilities, navigation challenges and visibility at sea. Тези присвячено вивченню засобів метеорологічних веб-сайтів як одного зі способів створення активних навчальних завдань на основі комп’ютерних технологій з урахуванням професійних потреб студентів. Тези містять кілька інструкцій, ефективних для парної та групової роботи, заснованих на описовій та порівняльній активності, а також ситуативних завданнях, які можна виконувати не лише на уроках про погодні умови, а й на теми, пов’язані з плануванням проходу, лоцманською роботою, запобіганням аварій, несенням вахти, навігаційними труднощами та видимістю на морі.
