Interactive module ""Maritime security"" of Maritime English course on LMS Moodle for future ship engineers

Abstract

The article deals with the issue of maritime security teaching while e-learning for future ship engineers. An innovative interactive module designed to educate and engage future ship engineers in the vital area of digital security within the context of Maritime English is presented. LMS MOODLE online course is described, particularly the module devoted to security on the ship. Key studies and concepts are analyzed in the research. The results prove that the basics of cyber security are vital during shipboard practice and furthering the career of seafarers. У статті розглядається питання викладання морської безпеки за допомогою електронного навчання для майбутніх суднових механіків. Представлено інноваційний інтерактивний модуль, розроблений для навчання та залучення майбутніх суднових механіків до важливої галузі цифрової безпеки в контексті морської англійської мови. Описано онлайн-курс LMS MOODLE, зокрема модуль, присвячений безпеці на судні. У дослідженні проаналізовано ключові дослідження та концепції. Результати доводять, що основи кібербезпеки є життєво важливими під час суднової практики та подальшого кар'єрного зростання моряків.
