Deep active learning: Towards greater motivation to develop foreign language communicative competence

Abstract

The article discusses the necessity of implementing deep learning as one of the active technologies in teaching maritime English. The importance of introducing active technologies in teaching maritime English is emphasized, which contributes to achieving a high level of motivation to master foreign language communicative competence, which is oriented towards the learner. The article shows that the development of motivation to master of foreign language communicative competence can be realized through the introduction of active learning technologies, through such approaches to in-depth learning as: Inquiry-based learning, Project-based learning, WorkBased Learning, Blended learning. Their influence on the effectiveness of teaching maritime English is analyzed and the potential for reforming professional education, which involves students and teachers in a joint educational process, is determined. У статті обговорюється необхідність впровадження глибинного навчання як однієї з активних технологій у викладанні морської англійської мови. Підкреслюється важливість впровадження активних технологій у викладанні морської англійської мови, що сприяє досягненню високого рівня мотивації до оволодіння іншомовною комунікативною компетенцією, яка орієнтована на того, хто навчається. У статті показано, що розвиток мотивації до оволодіння іншомовної комунікативної компетенції може бути реалізований через впровадження активних технологій навчання, через такі підходи до поглибленого навчання, як: Inquiry-based learning, Project-based learning, WorkBased Learning, Blended learning. Проаналізовано їх вплив на ефективність викладання морської англійської мови та визначено потенціал реформування професійної освіти, що передбачає залучення студентів і викладачів до спільного освітнього процесу.
