The Use of Miro While Formation of Communicative Competence of Future Ship Engineers

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the use of collaborative whiteboard platform Miro in maritime education and training. It is highlighted that with the help of the board teacher can create and upload content, communicate with others, share or export his/her work. It is mentioned that the board can be used while distance learning for explaining the new material, also, students can use it for drawing, add files, share comments, working on the same project remotely from each other. The benefits of the platform are mentioned in the article. The drawbacks of Miro use while maritime education and training are also listed. The results of the study showed that the use of Miro enabled cadets of maritime institution to improve their ability to communicate effectively, share ideas, and work collaboratively in a virtual environment. Стаття присвячена аналізу використання платформи спільної дошки Miro у морській освіті та підготовці. Підкреслюється, що за допомогою дошки викладач може створювати та завантажувати вміст, спілкуватися з іншими, ділитися чи експортувати свою роботу. Зазначається, що дошку можна використовувати під час дистанційного навчання для пояснення нового матеріалу, також здобувачі освіти можуть використовувати її для малювання, додавання файлів, обміну коментарями, роботи над одним проектом віддалено один від одного. Про переваги платформи йдеться в статті. Також перераховані недоліки використання Miro під час морської освіти та підготовці. Результати дослідження показали, що використання Miro дозволило курсантам морського закладу покращити свою здатність до ефективної комунікації, обміну ідеями та спільної роботи у віртуальному середовищі.
