Структура професійної компетентності майбутнього морського фахівця

Abstract

У статті на основі аналізу досвіду науковців щодо визначення структури професійної компетентності майбутніх морських фахівців запропоновано власний компонентний її склад, що ґрунтується на сучасному стані морської галузі та завданнях модернізації вищої морської освіти України. Автором у структурі професійної компетентності майбутніх морських фахівців виділено чотири змістові константи: компетентнісно-результативна, професійно-виробнича (практична), культурно-комунікативна, особистіснопрофесійна. Modern researches on the structure of the future marine specialists’ professional competence are analyzed. It is noted that the complexity and variety of the problem of forming the marine specialists’ professional competence causes many scholarly views on its structure. It is determined that in the composition of professional competence of marine specialists, scientists distinguish: readiness for action in extreme situations, ensuring the safety of navigation; professionally important qualities, readiness for a certain type of activity, professional culture; normative, theoretical and procedural knowledge, practical readiness, universal skills. On the basis of the analysis of the scientists’ experience in determining the structure of future marine specialists’ professional competence, the author identified four constituents of content: competence-productive, professional production, cultural and communicative, personprofessional one. Competent and productive constants include general and professional competences that are common to all specializations of specialty 271 “Marine and inland water transport”, as well as to meet the standard of competence and the results of training in the specialty. Professional-production one demonstrates minimum requirements for the training of future marine specialists as specified in the STCW 1978 Code. The cultural and communicative constant combines the general competencies that characterize a future marine specialist as one having a professional, physical, informational and linguistic culture, and is capable of communicating and interacting with people of different educational levels, different cultures and different physical abilities. Personally-professional one is a set of professionally important personal qualities of future marine specialists (leadership qualities, attentiveness, responsibility, critical thinking, determination etc.) and general competences related to personality traits.
